4 Days Golden monkeys and Gorilla safari
This Golden monkeys and Gorilla safari is an extraordinary adventure in Uganda’s jungle. This Safari combines the exhilarating experience of golden monkeys and gorillas in the forests of Uganda.
Day 2: Mgahinga National Park -Golden Monkeys tracking
On this day, we have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park offices for the briefing. We then start the golden monkeys tracking in the forest. This activity starts at 7 am at the Park headquarters. From here, we head to the forest with other tourists in search of the endangered Golden monkeys. This takes about 4 hours or more. The Golden monkey tracking adventure includes a one hour stay near to them. You get to view them feeding on Bamboo shoots and rolling on the stems. The Golden monkeys present themselves with no shyness since they are sued to human presence. Their gold and silver patches with round faces make them look so innocent. From there you will transfer to the Gorilla land in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in Uganda. The road trip takes you through the beautiful highlands. Dinner and overnight at the lodge overlooking a beautiful lake.
Day 3: Bwindi forest national Park-Gorilla Safari
Have an early morning breakfast and have a short drive to the briefing point. Enjoy the biggest highlight of this tour. Gorilla trekking may last for about 3 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family you are assigned to visit. You will trek through the rainforest slopes, escorted by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Be on the lookout for the mountain gorilla family and other animals. The trekking can sometimes be hard and long. However, as soon as you catch a glimpse of the beautiful silverback, any discomforts will be forgotten. As a result of the nature of the activity, you will have packed lunch in the forest. After mountain Gorilla trekking, you will embark on the drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Alongside canoeing, there is a lot of optional activities like swimming and hiking on the trails along the lake shores. There is also the chance to associate with the local people with small resident and exotic bird species singing. Your dinner and overnight at the lodge with views of the lake.
Day 4: Bunyonyi to Kigali Rwanda
After breakfast, check out of the lodge. We move to the Lake Bunyonyi below for a guided canoe ride. You will later get set for a border crossing journey to Rwanda. We transfer to Kigali city with the memory of the great rare mountain Apes. In Kigali, we arrive in the afternoon to be dropped at your hotel or airport as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa.
